MovieWorks 106 is a space-friendly surround sound speaker system whose big sound belies its small size. MovieWorks 106 features two-way center, main and surround speakers from our Newton Series. The MC100 front and rear channel speakers each feature a "" silk-fabric soft dome tweeter with Neodymium magnet structure, and a 3 "" midrange driver that will play down to 100 Hz. This means that they will handle a wide range of high to mid-frequencies, and matched with the BassCube 6S subwoofer, will cover the entire audio spectrum richly and accurately. The MC150 center channel speaker uses an ""MTM"" (Midrange-Tweeter-Midrange) design for smooth, wide-dispersion sound. This remarkable two-way satellite employs a 3/4"" silk fabric dome tweeter combined with two 3 1/2"" composite midrange drivers for superb music or movie sound reproduction. The ideal counterpart to this array of speakers is our new BassCube 6S. Featuring a 6 1/2"" passive (non-amplified) bandpass subwoofer, the 6S produces strong, accurate bass with very little amplifier power. Don't let its small size fool you, the BassCube 6S provides a great ""punch."" It employs a passive radiating woofer in a downward firing design. Because it is passive, placement of the woofer will affect its bass response. Place it in a corner for maximum reflective bass from the walls and floor. And since bass is non-directional, you can even place the compact BassCube 6S under or behind a piece of furniture, making it virtually invisible.
