"The SoundExtender System 50 combines one pair of Cambridge SoundWorks Ambiance 50, our entry-level in-ceiling speakers, 250 of Monster Cable 14 gauge CL3 speaker wire and the Russound SS-4 speaker selector box, which allows the connection of up to four pairs of 8-ohm speakers. Cambridge SoundWorks in-ceiling Ambiance 50 speakers are not your average airport ceiling speaker: these are high-fidelity speakers designed for reproducing music, not public address messages. The Ambiance 50 is easy to install in both old and new homes. The frame size matches that of common recessed lighting fixtures, come with a swing-arm mounting system and they are paintable, allowing the Ambiance 50 to blend in to any room. The Ambiance 50 employs a compact two-way coaxial design. A 5"" copolymer cone woofer provides full-range bass response and its rubber surround provides long-term durability and moisture resistance. Smooth, extended high frequencies are compliments of a "" soft dome tweeter, which is swivel mounted to allow sound to be aimed towards the listening area. The Russound SS-4 impedance matching/four-pair speaker selector is great for basic expansion of home, office or business audio systems.
