"The Russound SDB-6.1 uses impedance matching to allows the addition of up to six pairs of speakers on to any amplifier or receiver and offers impedance matching. Impedance matching allows the amplifier or receiver to work efficiently without going into protection mode with numerous pairs of speakers attached. The SDB-6.1 also offers dual source input for connection of two amplifiers or receivers which makes it a great component for multi-room and source systems. It features a maximum power handling of 300 W/Ch or 150 W/Ch RMS power with a peak power handling of 450 watts per channel. It includes 6 independent volume controls, and on/off switches to control each of the 6 pairs of speakers. Component dimensions of 17"" wide, 3"" high, and 6 1/4"" deep allow this unit to be integrated into your component system easily. "
